Centre for Doctoral Programs (CDP)

Centre for Doctoral Programs (CDP) is an academic unit that enhances research and innovation, as well as scholarly achievements of all academic disciplines through the development of a cadre of research scholars into successful academicians, experts in their field, and policy constructors by providing a robust framework in research methodology, developing critical thinking and encouraging cross disciplinary learning through higher forms of education. The Centre offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in multiple fields including Management, Commerce, English, Law, Science & Technology, Education, Physical Education, Special Education, Law, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology and various other disciplines designed to encourage originality of thought, promote and support innovation and to address various societal problems.

Doctoral Programs

The Centre for Doctoral Programs provides:

  • With Fellowship and Without Fellowship Ph.D. Programs
  • Opportunities to evaluate research studies across disciplines
  • A coursework that provides a better understanding of research methodologies, methodology for quantitative studies, and writing academically.
  • Opportunities to publish findings in established journals in the nation and around the world.
  • Experiential learning opportunities given to full-time PhD Scholars on pedagogy and other aspects by way of doing actual class room teaching activities/assisting in Laboratories/Workshops/Computer Center to students and also being attached to Faculty members for grooming them to be competent faculty members for doing teaching and research.

The Ph.D. Program will consist of coursework, completion of a comprehensive examination, and preparation of thesis documentation and will provide a researcher with a thorough and consistent path to completing their research projects.

    Digital Library
    • Possession of a comprehensive range of books, periodicals and research databases.
    • Subscription to major sources of research - such as journals indexed by Scopus and research repositories.
    • Availability of e-books, thesis and other written academic documents.
    Computer Facilities
    • High-speed internet access and wireless (Wi-Fi) capabilities throughout the grounds.
    • Sufficiently powerful computing labs equipped with statistical and research applications, (SPSS, Python, Turnitin, SCOPUS etc.)
    • Availability of computer-based research tools, including software for determining plagiarism.
    Research Lab

Establishment of laboratories in the field of science and technology for the theoretical, experimental, and field aspects of research.

Research Support and Development

  • Centre for Doctoral Programs provides additional resources for those who are pursuing research and development projects.
  • These additional resources include workshops, training programs, seminars and conferences to improve the skills needed to conduct research as well as provide grant funding for innovative ideas.
