Aim
The Seminar aims to provide a venue and platform for presentation/ discussion and exchange of information on recent trends in “teaching and learning” by social science researchers, faculty members, officials and policy makers related to education.
Objectives of the Seminar:

To evaluate the relevance of the use of conventional pedagogical approaches in today’s teaching learning scenario.

To discuss about the changing needs of the learner’s mind and methods best match to their intellect.

To overcome the problems of the present pedagogical system.

To establish innovative educational techniques with a research bent of mind.

To share a common platform to develop an intellectual community with a common vision of serving the society with valuable contributions.
Call for Papers:
Papers based on research, experience or promising ideas focusing any of the stated objectives and sub-themes of the seminar are heartily invited for presentation at the seminar.

About the University
The ICFAI University, Tripura has been established through an act of the state legislature (Tripura State Legislature Act 8 of 2004). The University is recognized by UGC under Section 2 (f) of 1956. The University is offering currently courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (Comp.), BHTM, BBA-LLB (Hons.), MBA, MCA and B.Ed. programmes. The University strives to provide quality education to the students for achieving sound knowledge of the subjects. It has developed cutting edge course curriculum incorporating contemporary and effective pedagogic methods, with emphasis on both fundamentals and applications.
Registration
Rs. 200 to be paid in cash towards registration fees at the registration counter on June 3, 2011 by 10.00 AM.
Participation
Maximum no. of participation is limited to 250. Hence, the participants are requested to confirm their participation through spot registration process on first-come-first-serve basis on June 3, 2011 by 10.00 AM. No separate registration form is provided therefore.
Accommodation
Accommodation may be provided to the outstation participants in the University Hostel on first-come-first-serve basis.
